Sir, This is Sunil Paryani from Ulhasnagar, dist.thane, Maharashtra. The matter is related to your Ulhasnagar branch. Whenever I go to branch to deposit cash, either cashier or security person asks me “how much cash” then he directs me to the relevant counter?? ( this is totally disgusting and not acceptable ) Secondly out of 2 counters only one is functional and other starts functioning only after customers protests or if the cashier so desires !! I have faced similar difficulty on 7th march,2018, I went to deposit cash at the branch, 2 counters were functional, on one counter there were many customers on another there were just two customers so I stood there, waited for my turn, in between security person came and told me to go to other crowded counter when I reasoned with him he replied that the said counter is “Closed” (please note this) although he has no authority to guide me, anyways I stood there, there cashier was taking so much time, so I went to branch head, explained him the difficulty about the non-functioning of one counter / cashier refusing to accept the cash, he replied “today our BNA machine is not working, one cashier is doing clearing work and other cashier is old so he takes more time at the counter. I was stunned and surprised to hear his reply. I then left his cabin and waited for my turn. I have few points to ask : Why the clearing work is given to cashier when so many customers are waiting at the counter ? Who has given them authority to discriminate the customers on the basis of amount of cash ?? Why we need to answer to cashier or security before depositing about the amount to be deposited ??? Who has given them authority to frame policies on their own without considering customers convenience ??? Why we are being forced to use BNA machine only and not deposit at counters !! If you have installed BNA machine for the customers convenience, its good, but let the customers decide where to deposit cash, you cannot just force them to do so, you can only inform the customers rest you leave upto them, after all its customer’s prerogative to deposit in BNA or at counter. Secondly there is no such guideline that the customer should deposit this much amount at particular counter or this much amount at another counter, this rule you have framed for your own convenience where as because of this we customers suffer as cashier gets free hand to refuse the cash by saying “this counter is for BIG CASH” When the cashier is sitting at the counter he has to accept the cash irrespective of amount. Staff at Ulhasnagar branch works as if they are answerable to no one ! Give me one good reason why we should maintain our account with your bank ? If this is the attitude of your staff towards customers then how long will you be able to retain your customers ?
